Allyson Whipple

Allyson Whipple is the author of Come into the World Like That (Five Oaks Press, 2016) and We’re Smaller Than We Think We Are (Finishing Line Press, 2013) and co-author of the interactive fiction Choice: Texas (www.playchoicetexas.com, 2014). Her poetry is informed by the landscape and political climate of Texas. She has served Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review as first as administrative director and then as board president. Allyson edited the Texas Poetry Calendar from 2016–2018 with Dos Gatos Press and then again in 2020 with Kallisto Gaia Press. She holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Texas at El Paso and an MA in English literature from Case Western Reserve University. Allyson teaches technical communication at Austin Community College.
