Elaine Levia

Elaine Levia (she/her/hers) is an educator, librarian, writer, and dancer. She has tutored; taught writing and facilitated poetry workshops in schools, community centers, and camps since 2007; and has hosted dozens of poetry slams and open mics. While in school, she co-produced the annual Kinetic Poetics Project festival at UC Santa Cruz. Elaine also worked on the administrative staff at Media Poetry Studio, an immersive video production and poetry camp for teenagers at San José’s History Park. She has designed inclusive writing and research curricula for middle and high school students. She uses her combined experience as a research librarian and teaching artist to empower students in all their curious and creative pursuits.
