Play- and Screenwriting Graphic

This is an advanced class is for writers who have a script completed or near completion (for film or web/television) and would like the opportunity to dive deeper into aspects of craft and share work with other writers for revision purposes. The teaching artist will work with the class on giving constructive feedback on how to improve individual work and make the completed script "read ready," for agents, managers, development executives, etc.

Class will consist of some instruction on elements of craft including pacing and story, character development, and plot, but the focus will be on analyzing what is working (and not) in each script, with in-depth and specific major notes given. For this reason, class is limited to 10 people. General questions about the film and television business will be answered.

Bring a bag lunch; we'll break as needed, or eat while we write. Students should have a detailed outline or first draft script ready for discussion. Please bring it to class.
