Emotional Moments: A Class for Writers of Color and Indigenous Writers
How to harness the emotions from the big moments of life, real and imagined, and bring them into clarity and focus, transfer them from the page to the heart of one's readers? This class will focus on how to write, deliver, and critique emotional moments in writing. Come prepared to write honestly and to give and receive sound feedback about what is working when we are dealing with the most powerful moments of our lives, of our work.
Students should bring 10 photocopies of up to 3 pages they would like workshopped.
This class is part of a series of classes that cover the issues and traditions of writers of color and indigenous writers, and is intended for writers of color and indigenous writers. Participants are welcome to register for one, several, or all of the sessions.
The class is offered on a pay what you can basis with the suggested fee of $15 ($13.50 for Loft members). Students may select the "pay what you can" option and enter any amount, including $0. No student will be turned away for not paying. You can register online or in person at the class, where there will be an opportunity to pay whatever amount is appropriate for you.
