ClassWriting It Out: From Getting Started to Getting Published
How does your favorite author do it--write with unique style, know what to cut and what to keep, and publish their writing? In this class we will learn the techniques of success in the writing world, from beating writer's block to editing your writing to submitting for publication.
Through a wide variety of writing prompts and language exercises, we will create and perfect new work across all genres. We will learn how to best edit ourselves and receive feedback from others. Finally, we'll learn about the publishing world and how to submit our work for publication. We will be reading poetry, short fiction, and other narrative literature for inspiration; recommendations and requests are encouraged!
