ClassYour Book Starts Here: Learn to Storyboard Your Book!
Learn a simple template that many professional writers use to build a strong structure of a novel, memoir, or nonfiction book—via storyboard brainstorming. Via the storyboard, you'll immediately find which holes need filling, organize your research, and strengthen weak plots and character arcs. You'll also get to know what your book is really about and what to include and what to leave out (you may have more than one book here!).
We'll first practice building our storyboard from "islands," or snippets of writing that aren't yet in sequence, then look at the inner and outer story balance to feed these islands into chapters. This one-day class is an immersion into an organization tool that turn writers into authors. It's especially helpful for those who've constructed a rough draft or are in revision (but may be stuck on whether the structure works), but it's also very useful for new writers just starting with an idea and some freewriting. Or anyone in between.
A supply list to make your storyboards will be provided in your confirmation email and is required in order to get the most out of this class (approximate cost of supplies is less than $10–$15).
