Wordsmith is the Loft's craft, career, and connection conference for writers. This year, the Loft will present Wordsmith Deconstructed, a series of virtual a la carte offerings to help participants advance their publishing and career goals.
Events will take place during the month of October and will include a craft talk and interview with Sigrid Nunez (Oct 1), an agent panel with Annie Hwang, Alec Shane, and Mackenzie Brady Watson (Oct 6), and a Story of the Book (Oct 28) event covering the life history of Sarah Vogel's new memoir The Farmer's Lawyer.
There will also be 2 editors and 14 agents taking virtual one-on-one consultations all throughout October (deadline to register for one-on-ones is September 29 at 4 pm CT). You will sign up, submit a query letter and the first five pages of your manuscript, then meet one-on-one for feedback and advice on your next steps in your publishing journey.
