We need your help to make Wordplay happen. There will many ways to get involved and help the Loft pull off this festival, whether as a sponsor, exhibitor, author, or volunteer. Save the date and get in touch!
With Wordplay 2020 wrapped up, we've got our eyes on Wordplay 2021, which we're hoping to be able to host in person but which also may include virtual elements. While we pay close attention to safety guidelines and reimagine this festival, we’re opening submissions with the caveat that we can’t predict what will happen in the next several months so we are proceeding with the planning with extreme nimbleness. Authors who are invited to participate in the festival will have the opportunity to discuss virtual contingency plans.
We expect a large number of submissions and are unable to respond to every submission individually or return materials sent for consideration.
Applications for Wordplay 2021 are open June 1, 2020 to October 31, 2020. If you have questions, email Steph Opitz (email@example.com) for more information.
The Loft is seeking sponsorship support for Wordplay. This festival is a phenomenal opportunity to reach all kinds of readers. A 2016 Pew study shows that readers are a wide cross-section of the public—urban, rural, and suburban; high, middle, and low income; baby boomers, Generation X, and millennials.
This is a great event to reach an informed and engaged audience. Please contact Mary at JRI Marketing at mary (at) jrimarketing.com or Britt Udesen at budesen (at) loft.org to learn more about sponsoring Wordplay.
We are hoping Wordplay 2021 will be in person, but we are paying close attention to safety guidelines while reimagining the festival. No matter the format, we will likely need volunteer support! Volunteer needs will be posted early 2021. If you have questions, feel free to contact Abby Frank Taylor (firstname.lastname@example.org)
While we are hoping Wordplay 2021 will be in person, we will be paying close attention to safety guidelines and reimagining the festival. Because of this, we are still figuring out how exhibitors fit in. We hope to share updates late fall of 2020. If you have questions or ideas, feel free to reach out to Abby Frank Taylor (email@example.com)
