Wordplay 2021 will be happening in early May.

2021 Submissions Closed
Apply to Be a Wordplay Author

Submissions for Wordplay 2021 are now closed. We expect to open submissions for Wordplay 2022 starting June 1, 2021.

We expect a large number of submissions and are unable to respond to every submission individually or return materials sent for consideration.

If you have questions, email Steph Opitz (sopitz@loft.org) for more information.

Reach Readers & Writers
Become a Wordplay Sponsor

The Loft is seeking sponsorship support for Wordplay. This festival is a phenomenal opportunity to reach all kinds of readers. A 2016 Pew study shows that readers are a wide cross-section of the public—urban, rural, and suburban; high, middle, and low income; baby boomers, Generation X, and millennials.

This is a great event to reach an informed and engaged audience. Please contact Mary at JRI Marketing at mary (at) jrimarketing.com or Britt Udesen at budesen (at) loft.org to learn more about sponsoring Wordplay.

Help Make Wordplay a Success
Volunteer at Wordplay

We are hoping Wordplay 2021 will be in person, but we are paying close attention to safety guidelines while reimagining the festival. No matter the format, we will likely need volunteer support! Volunteer needs will be posted early 2021. If you have questions, feel free to contact Marion Gomez (mgomez@loft.org)

2021 Submissions Opening in Fall
Become a Wordplay Exhibitor

While we are hoping Wordplay 2021 will be in person, we will be paying close attention to safety guidelines and reimagining the festival. Because of this, we are still figuring out how exhibitors fit in. We hope to share updates late fall of 2020. If you have questions or ideas, feel free to reach out to Marion Gomez (mgomez@loft.org)
