"Where God Put Us Down," (Litbreak - February 2023) Now Up on Website

Excerpted from my draft novel, my story, "Where God Put Us Down," is now available in the online February issue of Litbreak Magazine. It is also posted on my website. In 1935, an American doctor returns to the place in Japan where he grew up. He is appalled by the poverty of the depression-ridden Tohoku region and the government's seeming indifference to the plight of the local people. He joins an American missionary on an aid-mission to hard-hit areas. He leaves vowing to do more.
