Writing to Wholeness workshops
Tuesdays, 6:30-8:00 pm
March 7, March 14, March 21
Join a virtual creative writing group for those who have experienced interpersonal violence (intimate partner violence, sexual violence, stalking, trafficking). You don't need to see yourself as a writer-- all are welcome.
Each week, we'll come together on Zoom to write and read. Register for any dates you are available; each session will be different.
The workshop is free. Writing sessions are led by experienced facilitators Elena Anderson Eggert and Wendy Brown-Baez.
The first 8 participants to join each week will receive a $25 Visa gift card, in an effort to make this wellness practice more financially accessible.
This is not professional mental health care, and we will not ask you to write about any trauma directly. It is a space for exploration, tapping into our creative minds, and connection.
We are committed to access and inclusion, and strive to ensure a workshop that is as accessible as possible for participants. Please indicate any accommodations or requests in your registration. For example, captioning, childcare stipend, materials sent in advance.
The workshops will be on Zoom.
Everyone has a story. Your story matters. Come to this writing group ready to think creatively, and find strength among other survivors.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
