Wordplay Festival Registration

Wordplay registration is now open!

Street Fest Access | $10

Street Fest Access to Wordplay will be $10 and will include two-day access to everything going on except the paid workshops and special events at the Guthrie. All Street Fest purchases include a $5 book voucher. Stephen King, Amy Tan, and Bill Mckibben (among many others) will appear on the Street Festival. Youth 17 and younger will receive complimentary general admission (does not include a book voucher).

Guthrie Access | $40

Two-day wristbands that include access to all events taking place on the two Guthrie Theater stages during the weekend. This access also includes Street Fest access and a $5 book voucher. The purchased wristband provides access to all Guthrie events, but does not guarantee a seat at every venue. Seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.


Premier Access | $250

Premier Access to Wordplay all access and includes guaranteed early access to general admission seating at the Guthrie Proscenium Stage, access to all other Guthrie and Street Fest events, a $5 book voucher, and a general admission ticket to the Friday night Rock Bottom Remainders concert at First Avenue. Plan ahead, Premier Access tickets will be limited.

Rock Bottom Remainders Concert at First Avenue | $40

On Friday, May 10, the Loft and First Avenue will welcome the Rock Bottom Remainders for a special concert event. Doors at 7:30 p.m.; Concert at 9:00 p.m. Rock Bottom Remainder band members include Stephen King, Dave Barry, Scott Turow, Mitch Albom, Amy Tan, Greg Iles, Roy Blount Jr., Ridley Pearson, Mary Karr, and Alan Zweibel. General admission tickets will be sold by First Avenue and will go on sale March 14 for Loft members and March 15 for the general public.


Loft Classes at Wordplay | $40 & $250

During the weekend, the Loft will host a series of classes with visiting writers. Each will require pre-registration. The $40 classes will be shorter and cover a specific topic, while the $250 classes will be longer and will include student feedback from the visiting writer. Class registrations are separate purchases from Wordplay festival tickets. Festival access must be purchased separately.
