Loft Partnerships
Loft Partnerships
The Loft looks to build enduring and impact-driven partnerships. These partnerships are collaborative in nature, help interweave and build audiences, and promote a shared exploration of how writers and literature contribute to life-sustaining and liberated communities. If you are looking for a one-off venue to host your book launch, please visit our Community Events page.
The Loft partners in the following ways:
Strategic Program Partners — With strategic partnerships, the Loft looks to build collaborations with organizations or authors that have multiple touch points in our programming, particularly in relation to our organizational themes and within our program areas. We share curatorial vision and creation as well as marketing and outreach efforts with strategic program partners. The Loft typically hosts (or co-hosts) these efforts and will often coordinate logistics, contracting, venue prep, staffing, ticketing, commerce, set up/clean up, and evaluation. To propose or discuss a strategic partnership, contact Arleta Little at 612-215-2584 or [email protected].
Creative Writing Program Partners — We love to bring our creative writing programs out of our building and into your community. We work with schools, libraries, human service organizations, and workplaces to develop unique opportunities just for you. Our classes harness the power of the written word to strengthen every student’s voice, and we’re happy to work with you to create content that fits your needs. Contact Lucia LoTempio at 612-215-2593 or [email protected] or see our Bring the Loft to You page.
Sponsoring Partners — The Loft offers a number of sponsorship opportunities. To learn more, please contact Julie Cohen at 612-215-2597 or [email protected].
Promotional Partners — The Loft engages with partners in the community to help cross-promote our upcoming offerings. These partnerships are mutually beneficial and strive to build awareness between audiences. If you have an idea for a promotional partnership, please contact Chris Jones at 612-215-2589 or [email protected]. If you would just like to get the word out about an upcoming reading or service you have, please submit this to our Community Postings page instead.
Co-Locating Partners — The Loft has office and classroom space available for rent. For inquiries about subleasing opportunities please contact Lynn Casale at [email protected].
Open Book Founding Partners — Open Book is a space, but it’s also a vision. When the founding tenants of Open Book came together in 2000 to form the first home for the literary and book arts in the country, they did so with a long-term vision. MCBA (Minnesota Center for Book Arts), the Loft, and Milkweed Editions still anchor the Open Book space to this day. For more information about Open Book or these founding tenants, please visit the Open Book website.
