Jack Harris
Jack Harris is a fiction writer, editor, and graphic designer from the Driftless Area region of Wisconsin. After earning degrees in creative writing and graphic design from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, he received an MFA in creative writing at Minnesota State University, Mankato. While bouncing around the Midwest, he discovered a passion for working with students as a mentor for young writers through the Midwest Writing Center, assisting in library programming development and outreach, occasionally teaching at the Loft Literary Center, and serving as Managing Editor for multiple art/lit magazines. He currently reads short fiction for Carve Magazine and is thrilled to help build and connect writing communities as an Education Program Associate at the Loft. His fiction has appeared in Wisconsin People & Ideas, Dead Peasant, and more.
When not endlessly editing his Young Adult novel manuscript, Jack is writing and running tabletop roleplaying campaigns, injuring his shoulder in queer dodgeball leagues, and exploring hiking trails and nature preserves.
