Jacob Frey

Elected in 2017, Jacob Frey is in his first term as Mayor of Minneapolis. As Mayor, he has championed affordable housing, improving police-community relations, and growing our economy through inclusion. Before holding public office, Jacob worked as a civil rights attorney and represented death row inmates and tenants facing homelessness. He got his start in Minnesota politics with the fight to defeat the anti-marriage equality amendment in 2012 and was the first recipient of the City of Minneapolis Martin Luther King Jr. Civil Rights award.
