Jane Juffer

Jane Juffer is professor emerita in the Department of Literatures in English and the Program of Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at Cornell University. She has taught writing, cultural studies, and feminist theory at Penn State and Cornell; her classroom builds on feminist pedagogy to situate the personal within the political. She is the author of five books on topics ranging from single motherhood to immigration detention. She has taught courses in memoir writing at the Kendal retirement center in Ithaca for several years; the students published an anthology of their writings: Narrating Our Lives: Memoir Vignettes from the Kendal Retirement Community.
