Justine Jones

Justine Jones is an editor at Eater, where she writes about the Twin Cities restaurant scene, the labor movement within the food world, and the virtues of late-August peaches. She’s also a regular arts and culture contributor to Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. As a teacher, she takes a student-centered approach: class is discussion-based, not lecture-based, and workshops are built around shared values of empathy, deep listening, and curiosity. She’s a best fit for students who want to get into the weeds at the language level (a poet before she was a food writer, she loves using metaphor, simile, and other devices in prose) AND hone their instincts for analysis—for thinking deeply and critically about writing subjects and digging at their root.
