Kelsey Daly
Kelsey Daly is a young adult (YA) writer and photographer living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. With an educational background in conflict resolution, as an editor, she has worked as an assistant for the Veteran’s Book Project, a series of workshops that helped survivors of war and refugees write autobiographical books, as well as on the Positive Stories Project at the Research and Documentation Center in Sarajevo, which sought stories of compassion across the societal divides of the 1992-1995 conflict. She continues to weave themes of trauma and healing, both ourselves and our environment, into her personal studies and creative life. She was the recipient of a 2020 Minnesota State Artist Initiative Grant for Literary Arts, which funded the research and writing of her first YA novel and an event centering women and queer wilderness writers. She teaches youth writing and has taught photography workshops locally and abroad.
