Phoebe Tsang

Phoebe Tsang is a Hong-Kong born Chinese, British and Canadian poet, author, librettist and playwright. She is the author of the full-length poetry collection, Contents of a Mermaid's Purse (Tightrope Books, Canada), and currently has plays in development with New Earth Theatre (UK), Exit Pursued by Panda (UK), Nightwood Theatre (Canada), and Ergo Arts Theatre (Canada). Her poetry and short fiction has been published internationally in journals and anthologies, including Asia Literary Review and Literary Review of Canada. Her opera libretti have been commissioned and performed by Tapestry Opera, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and Continuum Contemporary Music, among others. Phoebe is the recipient of numerous arts council grants and awards, including an Artist Residency from Jack Straw Cultural Center (Seattle WA) in 2017 to record Button Music, an album of Tarot-themed original music, poetry and song (Off record label, Belgium). A professional Tarot card reader, she has conducted over 1000 readings for clients all over the world since 2015. www.phoebetsang.com.
