Phoebe Tsang is an award-winning British-Canadian poet, short-story writer, librettist, and playwright. She is the author of the full-length poetry collection Contents of a Mermaid's Purse (Tightrope Books). Her poetry and fiction has been published internationally in journals including the Asia Literary Review and the Literary Review of Canada. Her opera libretti have been commissioned and performed by Tapestry Opera, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and Continuum Contemporary Music, among others. Recently, she received the 2019 Liz Krehm Award in Creative Writing from the Chang School at Ryerson University (Toronto), and was selected for the prestigious 2018 Gros Morne Playwrights' Residency (Canada).
