Finding the Poet Within (for ages 15 to 18)

Welcome to the Loft's Summer Youth program at Open Book! Join us for multiple days of writing and creativity!

In this Poet Within class, we'll explore the many techniques poets use to express themselves. We'll discuss the ways they express their ideas through language and structure.

In this class you'll learn how to pull a poem out of a piece of prose, how to develop stronger imagery, and how a poem's structure affects both how it looks on paper and how it sounds out loud.
