ClassPOETRY AND PRAYER: common and uncommon ground—with Pádraig Ó Tuama, host of Poetry Unbound
In this workshop, we will explore the strange space between poetry and prayer. Some poems do read like prayers, yes. Other prayers have the qualities of a poem. Many of them incorporate the intimate, yet flexible, word ‘you’. Join host of Poetry Unbound Pádraig Ó Tuama in a group exploring public poems that address matters of religion, resistance, rage and devotion, as well as join in writing exercises. All welcome: well seasoned writers of poetry and those new to reading and writing poems.
While this is a workshop that will explore matters of religion, it does not imagine or expect that participants have any affiliation to any religious group or practice.
