ClassA Writer's Notebook: Creating Space for Poems, Stories and Big Ideas (for Ages 12 to 14)
This class welcomes aspiring and experienced writers looking to set aside an intentional space for their ideas and writing projects. We will activate our creative, wondering minds to fill our writer's notebooks with short form acrostic poems and generate story ideas with writing prompts and character sketches. We will practice preserving ideas for our poems and stories as we share, collect and record our wonderings of the world around us. Students will craft short poems and begin at least one story by the end of the last class. There will be ample time during the final class for students to share their favorite writing pieces and formulate a plan for how to continue using their writer's notebook.
All Classes listed on the Loft website take place in Central Time.
