ClassA Writer's Notebook: Creating Space for Poems, Stories and Big Ideas (for Ages 12 to 14)
This workshop welcomes aspiring and experienced writers looking to set aside an intentional space for their ideas and writing projects. We will activate our creative, wondering minds to fill our writer's notebooks with acrostic and pantoum poems and generate story ideas with free writing exercises and writing prompts.
As we practice preserving ideas for our poems and stories, we’ll begin to collect and record our wonderings of the world around us. Students will have ample time to share their writing pieces, if desired. At the end of the session, we will formulate individual plans for utilizing a writer's notebook to house our creative work.
All Classes listed on the Loft website take place in Central Time.
