What You’ll Submit: Your short or long form manuscript of prose, either fiction or creative nonfiction.

What You’ll Get: Detailed comments on the text, as well as a summary letter addressing overall structural, thematic, and developmental strengths as well as suggestions for revision. Patricia finds working privately with writers a joy. She has mentored writers through published book-length projects in both fiction and creative nonfiction. When you work with her, she'll respond to your work as a "developmental editor," as an attentive and honest reader, noting what is shining from the page, and also "worrying it around" as she would her own work, to find ways you might re-enter the work in revision. 

Pricing: Loft manuscript critique consists of a flat base price, plus a per word fee. You can enter your word count below and the system will calculate your price. 

• $300 (base price) + 1.5 cents/word

Turnaround:

• Prose up to 10,000 words: two weeks
• Prose up to 40,000 words: three weeks
• Prose up to 80,000 words: four weeks
• Prose up to 120,000 words: six weeks
