Padraig O Tuama Event

Join internationally acclaimed poet Pádraig Ó Tuama for an intimate evening of poetry in support of the Loft. Known for his vivid explorations of language, conflict, belonging, and belief, Ó Tuama is the beloved host of Poetry Unbound and the author of celebrated works across poetry, memoir, and theology.

In 2025, he released two major publications—Kitchen Hymns, a new collection of original poems (CHEERIO and Copper Canyon Press), and 44 Poems on Being with Each Other: A Poetry Unbound Collection (Canongate and W.W. Norton)—both of which deepen his reputation as one of today’s most resonant poetic voices.

This special event features readings and a wide-ranging conversation between Ó Tuama and Minnesota Book Award–winning poet and the Loft’s Senior Director of Craft, G.E. Patterson. A book signing and reception will follow.

Presented in partnership with House of Hope Presbyterian Church and taking place at the Hope Art Center, this evening promises reflection, connection, and the transformative power of poetry.
