Current issue of Main Street Rag has my story. "Once a Hero"

The latest issue of Main Street Rag (Winter 2021)  has my story, "Once a Hero." A clerk is lauded for his brave efforts in rescuing sleeping customers during an early morning hotel fire. Man of the Hour. His later life on the road, however, does not go well, not well at all. At least, he decides to return to his hometown seeking a fresh start. Surely, people will remember his heroic deed. Or will they?
