Voice for Refuge Book Launch

Join Green Card Voices and the Loft Literary Center on May 2nd from 7-8 pm for the book launch of "Voice for Refuge," the latest addition to the Our Stories Carried bilingual children's graphic novel anthology series published by Green Card Voices. Meet the author Zaynab Abdi and illustrator Ashraf El-Attar as well as learn about the work Green Card Voices does everyday to raise up stories that build empathy, combat stereotypes, here at home and across the nation. The event will be moderated by Ibrahim Hirsi, journalist and a scholar at the UMN. After the discussion join us to mingle with food, a custom mocktail, and book signings!
