Claire Wahmanholm

Claire Wahmanholm is the author of three poetry collections. Wilder (Milkweed Editions) won the 2018 Lindquist & Vennum Prize for Poetry, the 2019 Society of Midland Authors Award for Poetry, and finalist for the 2019 Minnesota Book Award. Redmouth (Tinderbox Editions) was published in 2019, and Meltwater (Milkweed Editions) is forthcoming in March 2023.
Her work has appeared widely, including in Best New Poets, New Poetry from the Midwest, Beloit Poetry Journal, The Missouri Review, The Kenyon Review, and Copper Nickel; has been recognized by the Academy of American Poets and The McKnight Foundation; and has been supported by residencies at Ragdale and The Virginia Center for Creative Arts. Over the last two years she has worked as a mentor for the Adroit Summer Mentorship program and AWP's Writer to Writer program. She lives and teaches in the Twin Cities.
