Emiko Rainbow

Emiko Rainbow is a professional illustrator, designer, and children’s book author with 16+ years of experience creating colorful, empowering artwork. She earned her BFA in Illustration from MCAD and has collaborated with Minnesota organizations including the MN Twins, Timberwolves, Caribou Coffee, and the MN Historical Society Press, where she illustrated Nana and Abuela (2024). Emiko teaches both kids and adults through school and library visits, community murals, and pop-up workshops, guiding students in visual storytelling, character design, and narrative illustration. Her approach is hands-on, encouraging, and centered on curiosity and creative exploration, helping students build confidence while expressing their unique stories. She is a strong fit for students interested in children’s literature, illustration, and creative storytelling who want to explore visual art in a supportive, playful, and inspiring environment.
