Emily Bright

Emily Bright is the author of two books poetry collections: This Ground Beneath Our Feet (published in April by Holy Cow! Press) and Fierce Delight: Poems of Early Motherhood (North Star Press, 2025). Her work has been featured on NPR's All Things Considered, The Slowdown Podcast, MPR News and Talk of Iowa, as well as in numerous journals and anthologies.

Ms. Bright is a weekend host for MPR News, where she also produces Art Hounds and Ask a Bookseller. She holds an MFA in poetry from the University of Minnesota and a BA from Williams College. She was a Loft mentee in fiction in 2008-2009.
