Erin Kate Ryan

Erin Kate's debut novel, QUANTUM GIRL THEORY (Random House 2022) was a CrimeReads Most Anticipated Novel of 2022. Her short fiction has been published in VQR, Glimmer Train, Conjunctions, and The Normal School, among other journals. 

Erin Kate's fiction has further been honored with a Pushcart nomination and fellowships/grants from MacDowell, Vermont Studio Center, Millay Colony, the Edward Albee Foundation, the Hambidge Center for Creative Arts, Hinge Springboard for the Arts, Wildacres, Arteles (Finland) and the Dickinson House (Belgium). She is a James Jones First Novel Fellow, a McKnight Artist Fellow, and recipient of a Minnesota Emerging Writers' grant, multiple Minnesota State Arts Board Artist's Initiative grants, and scholarships to the Sewanee and Bread Loaf Writers' Conferences.

Erin Kate holds an MFA in Fiction from the Bennington Writing Seminars, where she was an Alumni Fiction Fellow, and a JD from the Boston University School of Law. She has worked as a grant writer and communications consultant for social justice organizations for the past ten years.
