Hadiya Shire

Hadiya Shire is a writer, reader, and arts nonprofit administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Vassar College. Hadiya has worked in publishing and literary arts spaces for over eight years. She has worked for Graywolf Press as an editorial intern, as a freelance copy editor and transcriber for The University of Minnesota Press, and the Administrative Coordinator at The Loft Literary Center. Hadiya specializes in guiding young adults developing their writing, from her work as a virtual college advisor for high achieving students to assisting the Loft’s summer youth program. In the past three years, Hadiya has offered one-on-one tutoring via Zoom for many students in need of additional support and tools for their writing practice, honing grammatical skills, and mastering the structure of the essay. Her work is driven by a passion for literature and nurturing young writers—developing their voices, realizing their visions, and taking care of the written word.
