Jennifer Haupt
Jennifer Haupt is the author of the novels In the Shadow of 10,000 Hills, which takes place in Rwanda during the 1994 genocide, and Come As You Are, which takes place in grunge-era Seattle. She's also the editor of Alone Together: Love, Grief, and Comfort in the Time of COVID-19, which has raised over $40,000 for the Book Industry Charitable Foundation and was awarded the 2021 Washington State Book Award. Haupt’s essays have been published in O, The Oprah Magazine, the Rumpus, the Sun, The Seattle Times and other publications. She has taught writing classes (fiction, memoir, and essay) at Hugo House in Seattle for the past five years.
