Jessica Alexander

Jessica Alexander is the author of Dear Enemy (Subito, 2016), That Woman Could Be You (co-authored by Vi Khi Nao, BlazeVox, 2022), None of This Is an Invitation (co-authored by Katie Jean Shinkle, Astrophil Press, 2023), and Agnes We're Not Murderers (Clash Books, 2026). She has taught creative writing for Franklin and Marshall College, The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Porchlight Literary Arts Center, and the Iowa Summer Writing Festival, among other places. Her teaching centers participants’ work, community, accountability, and deep listening. Her short classes pair a series of brief craft talks with short generative exercises. Participants are guided into their projects and leave with material they can continue to develop. In her long-term courses—no matter the subject—participants submit, and share work each meeting. These classes are ideal for writers who want to build or commit to their practice and are seeking community support and accountability.
