Kate Hopper

Kate Hopper is the author of Use Your Words: A Writing Guide for Mothers (2012), Ready for Air: A Journey Through Premature Motherhood, winner of a 2014 MIPA Midwest Book Award, and co-author of Silent Running: Our Family's Journey to the Finish Line with Autism (2015).

She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Minnesota. She has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship, two Minnesota State Arts Board Grants, and a Sustainable Arts Grant. Her writing has appeared in numerous publications, including Brevity, the New York Times online, Poets & Writers, and the Star Tribune.

Kate teaches in Ashland University's Low-Residency MFA program, at Madeline Island School of the Arts, and The Loft Literary Center. See www.katehopper.com.
