What started as a favor for a family friend has turned into an in-demand service for students wanting assistance with their all-important college entrance essays. A longtime teaching artist at the Loft and the Writers in the Schools program, as well as being the mother of a teenager, Laurie imparts support, wisdom, and calm, confidence-boosting guidance to her students while they navigate their entrance essays in their own words, using their own unique voices.
