Lillie Gardner

Lillie Gardner loves working with writers and encouraging them to persist in making their most impactful and authentic work. As a screenwriter, Lillie has adjudicated screenplays for the CineStory TV and Feature Screenplay Contests and served as a screenplay coverage writer for Coverage Ink. Her own writing examines how women wield femininity in a patriarchal world and explores how our belief systems can both help us and hold us back. Featured as a "Screenwriter to Watch" in MovieMaker Magazine in 2023, Lillie was also the Winner of Austin Film Festival’s 2022 Rooster Teeth Women & Animation Fellowship Award and the Winner of Outstanding Drama Pitch at the 2021 Catalyst Festival. She is a Fellow in the Fred Rogers Productions Writers' Neighborhood Program and in the Hollywood Radio & Television Society Foundation Fellowship Program. Most recently, Lillie wrote episodes for the Wondery Kids podcast Whose Amazing Life? and created the Twin Cities-based comedy web series Vegan Please. As a prose writer, Lillie is an essays reader for Hippocampus Magazine and her work has been published in Quail Bell Magazine, Delmarva Review, and others.
