Makayla Oman
Makayla Oman has spent years in non-profit & academic spaces. She's previously held roles at the Trust For Public Land, with the Saint Paul Public Libraries and most recently, with the Disability Resource Center at her Alma Mater, the University of Minnesota. Although she could’ve escaped from Minnesota winters by moving away for college, she had always envisioned herself at the University of Minnesota and graduated with a BA in English and a minor in African and African-American Studies.
Outside of work, Makayla is a writer (mostly in her journal), book lover, and pop culture enthusiast from St. Paul. Makayla enjoys at-home karaoke, reading multiple books at the same time, reality TV, and hours-long video essays on topics ranging from theme park history to strange internet trends and phenomena. In the future, she hopes to unsettle readers with peculiar little stories that linger in their minds.
