Margaux Weisman is an editor at Penguin Books where she acquires literary fiction and upmarket commercial fiction, and narrative nonfiction from memoir to cultural criticism to true crime. Among the honors and distinctions her authors have enjoyed are Whiting Awards, New York Times notable books, LAMBDA Literary Nominations, Edgar Awards, Anthony Awards, and New York Times and USA Today bestsellers. Prior to working in publishing she was a PA in film and television, a cocktail waitress, an SAT tutor and a temp. A writer herself, she received her MFA from The New School.
