Rebecca Frost
Rebecca Frost is a longtime performer and is an advocate for all things related to human development, consciousness, and how we express it. As a Somatic Therapist, her passion lies in helping each person take his/her next step, providing support for that exhilarating reach beyond one's own edge.
Her poetry and fiction have been published in journals and anthologies. Her MFA thesis was a novel, and she is currently at work on a creative nonfiction manuscript. She co-founded the popular "Dancers Who Write" reading series, won the Verve Spoken Word grant, and co-founded The Women's Performance Project which received two McKnight Fellowships in Choreography.
Rebecca taught poetry at Urban League High School, taught anatomy to medical students at the University of Minnesota Medical School and Mpls Yoga Center, and bodysourced writing at Shakopee Women's Prison. She is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Minnesota Dance & Theater department. www.embodiedarts.com.
