Thomas R. Smith

Thomas R. Smith is a poet, editor and teacher who lives in Wisconsin near the Twin Cities. He has taught poetry classes at the Loft for most of the current millennium, and was a poetry advisor for the Loft's Foreword/Master Track program.

His seven published books of poems include Waking Before Dawn, The Foot of the Rainbow, and The Glory (all published by Red Dragonfly Press). He is also the editor of four books, most recently Airmail: The Letters of Robert Bly and Tomas Tranströmer (Graywolf Press, 2013). He has had hundreds of poems published in the US, Canada, and the UK, and he posts poems and essays on his website www.thomasrsmithpoet.com.
