Tina Tocco
Tina Tocco is a Pushcart Prize nominee. Her work has appeared in many journals, including New Ohio Review, Roanoke Review, River Styx, Hobart, Crab Creek Review, Potomac Review, Portland Review, and Italian Americana. Her writing for kids has been published in Highlights, Cricket, Humpty Dumpty, and other youth magazines. Tina has contributed to multiple anthologies, such as The Best Small Fictions 2019, Best Nonfiction Food, and the middle grade ghost story anthology The Haunted States of America. She earned her MFA in creative writing from Manhattanville University, where she was editor-in-chief of Inkwell, the university’s national literary journal. She has taught for GrubStreet, Hugo House, Indiana Writers Center, Literary Cleveland, Thurber House, SCBWI, Westport Writers’ Workshop, and other organizations. Tina takes a non-judgmental, relaxed approach to her classes. She finds that a casual atmosphere keeps students’ imaginations loose and motivation high.
