Tony Jones
Tony Jones is the author of The God of Wild Places: A Field Guide for Tracking Transcendence in the Untamed Outdoors (forthcoming, 2024) and of the weekly newsletter, Tony's Field Notes. He wrote the award-winning "Boundary Waters Passage" series in the StarTribune, and he was a senior acquisitions editor for a decade. He’s written a dozen books, including Did God Kill Jesus? and The Sacred Way: Spiritual Practices for Everyday Life, hosts the Reverend Hunter Podcast and teaches at Fuller Theological Seminary. Tony is a sought after speaker and consultant in the areas of spirituality, writing, and the outdoors. He guides canoe trips in the BWCA and writing retreats in Italy. He holds an AB from Dartmouth College, an MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a PhD from Princeton Theological Seminary. Tony is married, has three children, and lives in Edina, Minnesota.
