Class12-Week Fantasy Novel Writing Intensive for Teens
This 12-week fantasy intensive is ideal for teen writers hoping to dig deeply into character design, plot planning, and world-building for a novel-length project.
For our early sessions, we’ll focus on character design, discussing character-driven plotting methods and crafting compelling villains, heroes, and the communities they exist within. Our middle sessions will dive into story planning, laying out a novel-length adventure for your particular characters to embark on. World-building and craft discussions will center on creating the perfect universe and writing tactics to carry your story, with a strong focus on cohesion and flow.
Our final sessions will give ample time for writing, especially your opening scene, your turning point scenes, pivotal relational moments, and big final battles. You will leave the intensive with both the blueprints for your final novel and a selection of first-draft chapters written.
Optional in-class critique is available, as well as resources on how to give and receive supportive writing feedback.
