Yes, there are loads of podcasts out there but people are always hungry for something unique told well by someone who really cares about it. That someone could be you.

In this one-day intensive course, you'll first learn to identify the subject you want to build your pod around. Then we'll move on to how to find the stories that need telling the most and how to organize them for your listeners.

Writing for a listening audience is different from writing for readers and we'll explore how to tell your story so that it's a vivid and engrossing experience for the people who have elected to lend you their ears.

Finally, we'll work on delivery; how to communicate your writing to draw the listener in to the story you can't wait for them to hear.

This is a class for people who want to get started in podcasting or for people who have been doing it for a while and want to pick up some pointers from an expert in the field.
No books to read in advance, just listen to some of your favorite podcasts and think about what you like about them.

This class takes place in-person, at the Loft at Open Book; we encourage participants to be fully vaccinated and masked in the interest of everyone’s safety. Please see the Loft’s website for the most up to date information about the Loft’s COVID policies.
