Whether you're racing down the soccer pitch, nailing a dance solo, or hitting that field goal with a swish, there's something so special about killing it at the activities you love.

But how can we put words to that exceptional feeling? How can we share with others what it means to be in that moment, with adrenaline rushing and muscle memory carrying you to success?

This class is designed especially for young people aged 13 - 17 to express their love of the game in fun, genuine ways that match the energy they feel in their favorite sport or activity. Join author and educator Dralandra Larkins at Hope Arts Center from 2 - 3:30 p.m. for a class you won't forget!

About the educator:

Dralandra Larkins is an award-winning educator, spoken-word poet, and author of Before I Lie. She serves as Lead Poetry Mentor for the Minnesota Humanities Center’s Minnesota Youth Poet Laureate program, Artistic Director for the Minnesota Black Authors Expo Executive Committee, and a COMPAS teaching artist. A recipient of the Loft Literary Center Teaching Artist Fellowship, her work has been presented by the Minneapolis Institute of Art, NAACP, Minnesota State Capitol, St. Cloud State University, and Hennepin County Library, and featured by Minnesota Public Radio, KFAI radio, the Pioneer Press, and Minnesota Women’s Press. She also serves as a Small Business Consultant with the Metropolitan Council.
