Short Fiction Writing and Story Submission for Novices

Maybe you've only written long-form fiction and are curious about the short story. Perhaps you are looking to build up your author resumé with some short pieces. If you are searching for a place to start, start here! Jenn Bouchard has written several award-winning novels as well as published six short stories in literary journals. She'll take you through the shift to short fiction as well as how to find the right places to submit your stories. You'll go through the nuts and bolts of platforms like Duotrope and Submittable to make this a straightforward process. You'll leave with confidence and hopefully be excited about writing short fiction!

This class is open to all, including complete novices. No experience is expected or needed.

Instructions for Accessing This Online Class

In order to access live class meetings, you must have the Zoom application downloaded to your computer. You will also need a WiFi/Internet connection throughout the duration of your scheduled meeting and a computer with audio and video capability.
