ClassStop Making Sense
This workshop for poets of all levels will renew, refresh, energize, and invigorate your poetry by discovering meanings through chance. We will read a few master poems, then generate new work through cut up, substitution, forms such as the burning haibun, and other activities that set aside authorial intention.
In our five hours together, we will share but not critique our poems. Participants will leave with several new poems started.
Bring printouts of a few of your stuck poems, as well as scissors, a glue stick, a bagged lunch, and a sense of adventure.
