ClassStorytelling: Narrative for the Stage
This class is for beginner and intermediate participants who are interested in learning how to draft a narrative story to perform on a live stage (such as on "The Moth"). We will begin by viewing short performances, brainstorming our own personal stories, and learning the nuances of how to present our stories to a live audience. This is a generative class where participants will leave with at least one full draft of a story with a frame work to develop other stories based on what they learn about the parts of a story. If time allows, participants will share parts of their work or ideas for group discussion and actionable feedback.
This class will cover:
-discussing the concept of high-risk and low-risk stories
-effective organization and how to open
-physical presence and delivery
All classes listed on the Loft website take place in Central Time.
