Open to: Creative Nonfiction, Nonfiction, Essays, Criticism, Journalistic Writing, Memoir, Family History, Academic Writing

Word Limit: Please check on projects of more than 100,000 words.

What You’ll Submit: Your manuscript, either partial or in full, a description and summary of the manuscript, and a statement articulating what you hope to accomplish through the revision process

What You’ll Get: David believes strongly in collaboration and will begin every project with a phone call or virtual meeting (or in person if geographically feasible) with the author so that he understands the author’s intentions and goals with respect to the manuscript itself and any specific goals they might have with respect to its strengthening. Additional calls or meetings are also welcome. He will provide detailed comments on the text, a line-edited manuscript, and a summary editorial letter addressing overall structural, thematic, and developmental strengths and weaknesses as well as suggestions for revision. David’s passion in life is helping writers construct a powerful, dynamic, evocative, and provocative manuscript that is well structured and grammatically sound.
