Join us for an inspiring evening with Helena Ku Rhee—acclaimed picture book author and the 2026 McKnight Judge in Children’s Literature. Through a live reading of her beloved work, Rhee brings to life stories filled with imagination, empathy, and joy that resonate with young readers and the young at heart alike.

Following the reading, Rhee will sit down with Loft Partnerships Program Manager Cristeta Boarini to explore the art of writing for children, finding inspiration in everyday moments, and creating books that help kids see themselves and the wider world.

Tickets: A limited number of pay-what-you-can seats will be available at the door (first come, first served).
