Emily Johnson / Catalyst: Overflow Radio Oct. 9-12

Overflow Radio features live radio broadcasts of stories and text from 12 First Nations and Indigenous writers speaking from their home territories, including Dylan Robinson (Author of “Hungry Listening,” University of Minnesota Press, 2020), Camille Georgeson-Usher, Joseph M. Pierce, Sonia Guiñansaca, Gwen Westerman (Poet Laureate of Minnesota and co-author of “Mni Sota Makoce: The Land of the Dakota,” MN Historical Society Press), Diane Wilson (Author of “The Seed Keeper,” a Mdewakanton descendant and enrolled on the Rosebud Reservation), Eve Tuck, Hala Alyan, Joan Naviyuk Kane, Princess Daazhraii Johnson, Kai Recollet, and Emily Johnson. The performance is housed within a massive quilt installation over 24 nonconsecutive hours, divided into four six-hour unique cycles. Tickets start at $16.
